Take a look at those fenders. Aren't they awesome? (DIVCO Purists, take a pill, it will be ok after a while) John took Iveco 6 lug 17.5 tubeless wheels, welded the lug holes and drilled the 5 lug pattern for the DIVCO. Great truck, thanks for the photos. |
George Parmelee's 1956 DIVCO model 15 Connecticut |
George's current project, a 1947 Model UM stand up drive only |
This was a frame off restoration and kept original even down to the fan belt that is lettered "DIVCO". The truck now resides in a new CT truck museum, Golden Age of Trucking, Middlebury, CT. |
George replaced the bottom of the front quarter panels, had a new shelf made for the cream case or butter box. Made a new back floor and case racks. George hopes to install the new floor along with the side panels this winter. He plans to keep this truck original also. Thanks George. |
LeRoy West's 1955 DIVCO model 374 Lyons Michigan |
Here it is "before". Look at that grille & door! |
And the "after" picture, Beautiful! |
While at a local parade. Looks like a real Milkman. Oh! it is! |
Ken also had a 1/32 scale Ertle produced honoring the former dairy. |
Ken bought the truck in 1999 and completed the restoration in the spring of 2004. This 100B has a 4 cylinder Golden Missle engine, it is a sit drive and was painted to duplicate the DIVCO ken drove when he started working for Grimm's in 1971. Thanks for sharing your DIVCO. |
Well now, John's eradicated the rust and it's in primer. Really looking good. It's all original running gear 300 Ford 6 cyl., brakes, etc. |
This DIVCO was used as a beer truck years ago. The holes in the side are for beer taps. Kegs were in the refrigerated section along with CO2 bottles. People could walk up and tap a beer. The hand drawing on the side is a mural of Ham's Beer Bear. Greg plans to use the truck as a delivery truck for his wedding cake business after it is restored. |
And here's Lizzy checking things out. |

Still on the trailer, "I found a new home!" |
It sure looks like LeRoy has his work cut out for himself. Although these pictures show he's got a good start. Thanks, LeRoy for sharing your DIVCO. |

Jimmie de's DIVCO Paso Robles, California |
This is a most unique DIVCO. Look @ the fiberglass body. |
Notice Jimmy replaced the standard front suspension & steering. This truck also had a sliding door which he replaced with the bi-fold doors. Beautiful truck. |
